1. How long are your sessions? 

Sessions are typically 50 minutes.

2. What should I bring? 
Please bring:

  • Health insurance card
  • Co-pay or coinsurance  at  the  time of the session
  • Cash or check
    • Credit cards are NOT accepted


3. What is your office like?  
I have a community waiting area, a playroom and the sessions  take  place in a comfortable office setting with a couch and chair. 

4. What age children do you work with? 
I work with verbal children ages  4 to 13. Children age 14 and up must give their own verbal consent. I must have verbal and written permission from both biological parents of children under the age of 14 before beginning treatment.  

5. Do you have a no show policy?
You must cancel your appointment 24 hours prior to the seesion. Failure to do so with result in a $50.00 fee, payable at your next session.  

6. Can you prescribe medication?  
No, only a medical doctor or psychiatrist can prescribe medication. Check with your insurance company for  doctors who are in your plan.

7. What can I expect from treatment? 
I will be assessing your needs and symptoms with you to develop a viable treatment plan to help you cope with your symptoms and improve your functioning. I will make referral as needed. Coordination of services will be with your permission and release(s) signed. 

Treatment is by mutual agreement and can be terminated at anytime. You will be responsible for any fees , copay or coinsurance owed at the time of the termination.  

8. What if I have a question you have not answered here?
Please use the contact me tab to send an email detailing your question and I will do my best to respond. 

9. Are you available in a crisis situation?  
I am not available 24 hours. I will schedule sessions as needed if at all possible. Please dial 911, go to your nearest emergency room, and/ or call 570-296-6484 for Pike County Mental Health after hours crisis line. 

*Please be aware that I am a mandated to report suspected child abuse and neglect.
